Vitamin C is a nutrient in fruits and vegetables. Your body cannot make it, so it has to come from food or a supplement each day. The form here is ascorbic acid, the plain, well studied kind, made to a published quality standard (USP). Two capsules give 30 mg, about a third of the Daily Value.
Turmeric is the golden root in curry powder. This extract keeps more of the root's parts together instead of pulling out just one. You get the curcuminoids (the yellow plant compounds), the fragrant volatile oil, and a small root protein called turmerin. Those yellow compounds are plant antioxidantA protector molecule. It steps in and defuses the unstable particles that would otherwise wear your cells down.s. They add to the antioxidant work your body already does.

Turmeric Complex leads with one job. It backs up the antioxidant work your body already does. That is the everyday balance your cells keep as they handle normal wear. The work here comes from turmeric's curcuminoids. Those are the yellow compounds that give the root its color. One review pooled 66 human studies. Adults who took turmeric or curcumin each day showed more antioxidant activity overall. The next clearest research is on normal muscle comfort and normal joint movement. That is in the days after a hard workout. There is a little research on normal, day to day gut comfort. That study ran in adults who already had gut complaints, so we hold it loosely. One serving also gives 30 mg of vitamin C. That is 33% of the Daily Value. Now one honest note. Most of those studies used more curcuminoids a day than one serving gives. Several used special forms of curcumin that soak in better than the whole root extract in this bottle. So read the research as background on the ingredient, not a promise about this formula.

Your guide

How and when do I take Turmeric Complex, and how soon would I notice anything?
The label serving is 2 capsules a day, and the label does not say when to take them. Many people take turmeric with a meal that has a little fat in it. Turmeric's [[curcumin]] dissolves in fat rather than in water, so food may help your body take in more of it. A meal is also easier on the stomach. If your practitioner gives you a different amount or schedule, follow what they tell you. Do not take this product if you are pregnant or nursing; talk with your practitioner first.
How soon you would notice anything is different for everyone, and some people will not notice at all. This is daily nutrition support, not a quick fix. After a few weeks, tell your practitioner what you have and have not noticed. They can decide what makes sense from there.
My kid cannot swallow capsules. Can I open it?
For a child, check with your practitioner first. They will tell you whether this is a fit and how much of a serving to use. If they say yes, you can open the capsule and stir the powder into a spoonful of food. Turmeric stains, so pick something you do not mind turning yellow.
Can I take it with my other supplements or medication?
Ask your practitioner before you start. The turmeric and the [[bromelain]] in this formula can interact with some medicines, such as blood thinners. Bring your full list of medicines and supplements to your next visit, or call us before then.
Does it contain pineapple?
Yes. This formula contains bromelain, an enzyme that comes from pineapple. If you or your child is allergic to pineapple, do not take this product. If pineapple has ever caused a reaction, or just does not sit well, talk with your practitioner before you start.
Why don't some of the ingredients have a benefit listed?
We list a benefit next to an ingredient only when a study in people backs it up. The research we found on [[quercetin]] was done on cells in a lab dish, not in people. For [[rutin]], we did not find a study in people that meets that rule. The studies behind this page did not test [[bromelain]] at all. All three are still in the formula as it is made, and your practitioner chose the whole formula, not one piece of it.
